The Dow DJIA, -0.12% was most recently trading 112 points, or 0.4%, lower, as shares of Dow Inc. DOW, -2.76% and IBM IBM, -2.38% have contributed to the index’s intraday decline. Dow Inc.’s shares have declined $1.72, or 3.3%, while those of IBM have dropped $3.77 (2.9%), combining for an approximately 36-point drag on the Dow. Verizon Communications Inc. VZ, -3.24%, Travelers TRV, -1.33%, and Walgreens Boots WBA, -1.57% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow equates to a 6.59-point swing.
