OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District voters have selected their candidates for the general election in November.
Tony Vargas will be the Democratic challenger facing Incumbent Republican Congressman Don Bacon.
Democrats advanced Vargas by a wide margin over Alisha Shelton. Republicans picked Bacon over his challenger, Steve Kuehl.
Bacon appeared in a live Zoom conference following Tuesday night’s win and talked about how difficult it is to be a centrist in Washington these days.
Don Bacon has won the Republican nomination.
