Election Day is Tuesday, May 17, 2022: Ballots must be received at any county elections office in Oregon or Official Ballot Drop Site location by 8 p.m. or mailed and postmarked by Tuesday, May 17

Voted ballots must be received at any county elections office in Oregon or Official Ballot Drop Site location by 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2022, or mailed and postmarked by May 17, 2022 to be counted. Voters can use any Official Ballot Drop Site including any Multnomah County Library 24-hour book drop to safely and securely deposit ballots. Find your nearest Official Ballot Drop Site at: multco.us/dropsites.

All registered voters should have received their ballots. Registered voters who have not received their ballots or need a replacement ballot should contact the elections office. In Multnomah County, the Order Ahead Replacement Ballot Service allows voters to go online to multco.us/orderahead, request a replacement ballot and have it ready at “Will Call.” Voters can then pick up their replacement ballot at either the Multnomah County Duniway-Lovejoy Elections Building at 1040 SE Morrison Street, Portland 97214 or the Voting Center Express inside the Multnomah County East Building at 600 NE 8th Street, Gresham 97030

Voters can also call Multnomah County Elections at 503-988-VOTE (8683) or visit the SE Portland or Gresham location in person to get assistance or a replacement ballot. Please note, face coverings are required inside the Multnomah County East Building where the Gresham Voting Center Express is located because it is a shared facility that provides healthcare services.

Extended Evening and Saturday Hours Available at Both Voter Service Locations

Multnomah County Elections normal hours at both the SE Portland and Gresham locations are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday – Friday. Extended office hours at the SE Portland and Gresham locations are:

  • Wednesday, May 11 – Friday, May 13: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday, May 14: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Monday, May 16: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Tuesday,  May 17:  7:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Election Day)

Track Your Ballot 

Voters can sign up to track their ballot and get a virtual “I Voted” sticker. Text, email, or voice alerts tell voters when the county elections office has mailed ballots. Alerts indicate whether the ballot has been accepted for counting or whether it requires further action by the voter. Inside the “Accepted Ballot” message, voters can access a special Oregon “I Voted” sticker that’s ready to share on social media. The Track Your Ballot service is available in English plus five languages. Multnomah County voters can sign up by visiting multnomah.ballottrax.net.

Multnomah County has 30 Official Ballot Drop Sites available now until 8 p.m. on Election Day for you to return your ballot. Official Ballot Drop Sites include all Multnomah County Library locations. Ballots are picked up from library locations and Official Ballot Drop Boxes on a regular schedule. The list of Official Ballot Drop Sites is available online and below.
