An emotional video message has been released by the Royal Family as the nation prepares to bid farewell to the Queen today. Her Majesty’s State Funeral is taking place in London.

The video was posted to the royals’ Instagram page and celebrates the monarch’s record-breaking 70-year reign. It features a chronological reel of photos from across her lifetime.

It includes images of her as a baby with her parents and moves though her childhood and into later life, reports the Mirror. It is accompanied with the caption: “Remembering Our Queen. Today people from across the UK, Commonwealth and around the world will pay tribute to the extraordinary life and reign of Her Majesty The Queen”.

In the clip, the Queen is pictured as a baby before the footage moves on to portraits with each of her parents. The video then shows a charming shot of the Queen and her sister, Princess Margaret, hugging each other as small children. Other powerfully emotive photos include an image of a young Queen Elizabeth smiling while riding a bike, a photo of the late monarch in her riding gear and the sovereign posing happily with one of her beloved corgis.

The video has amassed more than 80,000 likes on the platform since it was published, with emotional royalists paying their respects in the comments.

One person wrote: “A truly remarkable woman. There’ll never be another like her and her loss is like no other. Farewell, and thank you”.

Another said: “The world will never be the same again, an incredible woman. May she rest with the angels”.

While a third added: “The Queen did the Country proud & much more. And it’s heartwarming to see the Country doing her proud in recognition & appreciation. Rest in peace Ma’am”.

The tribute comes as hundreds of thousands of mourners gather in the capital for the Queen’s state funeral, which begins at 11am. The historic proceedings will see 2,000 people attend Windsor Abbey for the state funeral, including members of the royal family, world leaders, politicians and some of the Queen’s beloved royal staff.

Many royal family members have shared their own personal tributes since the monarch passed on 8 September, the latest being an emotional statement from her son Prince Andrew, released on Sunday.

The Duke of York said: “Your Majesty, it has been an honour and privilege to serve you. Mother of the nation, your devotion and personal service to our nation is unique and singular; your people show their love and respect in so many different ways and I know you are looking on, honouring their respect.

“Mummy, your love for a son, your compassion, your care, your confidence I will treasure forever. I have found your knowledge and wisdom infinite, with no boundary or containment.”
