Governor Ron DeSantis Announces Two Appointments to Florida’s Judicial Qualifications Commission – Governor Ron DeSantis

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announces the appointment of Jonathan Bronitsky and Michelle Montanaro to the Judicial Qualifications Commission. The Judicial Qualifications Commission is charged with investigating allegations of misconduct of justices and judges. The Governor must appoint non-attorneys to the fifteen-member commission.

 

Jonathan Bronitsky

Bronitsky, of Delray Beach, is the Co-Founder and CEO of Athos Media Strategies, LLC. Previously he served as Principal Director of Public Affairs, Policy, and Research for the U.S. Agency for Global Media and the Deputy Director of Communications for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management in addition to his roles as the Chief Speechwriter for U.S. Attorney General William P. Barr and Senior Advisor for at the U.S. Department of Justice. Bronitsky is appointed for the remainder of a term expiring on December 31, 2026. 

 

Michelle Montanaro 

Montanaro, of Tallahassee, is a Paralegal at Shutts & Bowen, LLP. Previously she served as a Judicial Assistant at the Second Judicial Circuit Court. Montanaro is appointed for the remainder of a term expiring on December 31, 2026.
