A $1 million gift from a famous New Yorker is helping bridge a gap in funding for the arts in South Jersey.

Camden, A New View, is an exhibit of public art that debuted this spring at six sites, including some formerly abandoned, trash-strewn lots across a city that has frequently been listed among the poorest and most dangerous in the nation.
