The U.S. Border Patrol community is mourning the loss of an agent who died earlier this month in the line of duty.
Supervisory Border Patrol Agent Anibal “Tony” A. Perez died on Nov. 5, according to Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz.
Perez was a member of the Tucson Sector of U.S. Customs and Border Protection and joined the organization on June 26, 2006, a tweet by Ortiz read.
“We will forever honor his service,” John R. Modlin, chief patrol agent for the U.S. Border Patrol’s Tucson Sector, wrote in a tweet on Thursday.
The CBP did not provide additional information about the agent’s passing.
