A third teenager has been indicted in the killing of a congressional intern in the nation’s capital, a case that President Donald Trump has cited in pressing for increased federal intervention in local crime enforcement.
Naqwan Antonio Lucas, 18, was charged on Oct. 30 in a 16-count indictment for the June 30 killing of congressional intern Eric Tarpinian-Jachym, 21, a University of Massachusetts–Amherst student working for Rep. Ron Estes (R-Kan.), according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia.
