House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) said on Tuesday that House Democrats will oppose any bill that leaves out Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits—after seven Senate Democrats and independent Angus King of Maine joined Republican senators to pass a shutdown-ending package 60–40 the day before.
The bill now heads to the House, where a simple majority is sufficient to pass it.
