New York City Mayor Eric Adams dropped out of this yearâs mayoral race on Sept. 28, citing mounting pressure that makes it difficult to continue his campaign.
Adams, a Democrat, made the announcement in a video statement posted to X Sunday afternoon, where he warned âextremism is growing in our politicsâ and indicated that he lacked the funds to remain in the race.
