WASHINGTON—Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Thursday said that Democrats had reached a deal with Republicans fund the government ahead of a partial shutdown deadline on Jan. 30.
Schumer’s office said in a statement to media outlets that as part of the deal, Democrats would provide the votes to pass five House-passed spending bills that fully fund the departments of Defense, Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, Transportation, and Housing and Urban Development.
