The aerospace manufacturer was charged with fraud after the deadly 2018 and 2019 737 MAX crashes that killed all 346 people on board.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) asked a federal judge on May 29 to dismiss its criminal fraud case against Boeing, saying it had reached an agreement with the aerospace giant.
Boeing was charged in 2021 with conspiracy to defraud the United States over two 737 MAX plane crashes that killed all 346 people on board. The Justice Department accused the company of deliberately withholding information from both federal regulators and airlines about a flight control software that was blamed for causing both crashes.
