Incoming first lady Melania Trump met with the Queen of Jordan ahead of Inauguration Day.
Melania welcomed Queen Rania Al Abdullah on Thursday to Palm Beach, Florida, for a meeting and lunch, according to their statements.
Melania said it is a âvery different transitionâ this time around.
âThe first time was challenging. We didnât have much of the information. The information was [withheld] from us from previous administration. But this time I have everything,â she said during an interview with Fox News.
During Trumpâs first term, Melania believed that she wasnât respected and felt that people just saw her as âthe wife of the president.â
âBut Iâm standing on my own two feet. Independent, I have my own thoughts. I have my own âyesâ and âno.’ I donât always agree with what my husband is saying or doing,â she said.
The incoming first lady also said that she is still hiring for her team and called the transition an âexciting time.â
Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President on Monday, Jan. 20.
