Senate Democrats have submitted a counterproposal to Republicans in an effort to resolve the ongoing funding dispute over the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said.
The proposal, announced on the Senate floor on March 25, includes requests focused on reforming Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), a key sticking point in negotiations.
