WASHINGTON—The Senate on Friday approved a measure to fund the government after a deal was reached between the White House and Senate Democrats on Thursday evening.
Senators passed the package in a 71–29 vote on Friday evening following hours of hurried negotiations on Capitol Hill involving members of both parties.
