Texas GOP Set to Redraw State’s Congressional Map During Special Session

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott called for a July 21 special session of the state Legislature to discuss efforts to redraw the state’s congressional map to make it more competitive for the GOP.

The Republican governor issued a proclamation on July 9, directing the legislature convene in Austin for a special session beginning at 12 p.m. on Monday.
