Vice President Kamala Harrisâs campaign has not yet released August fundraising figures.
Former President Donald Trumpâs presidential campaign raised $130 million in August, with 98 percent of donations coming from small donors contributing under $200, the TrumpâVance campaign reported on Sept. 4.
The average donation was $56. The campaign ended August with $295 million cash on hand, âensuring the resources needed to propel President Trumpâs campaign to victory,â a campaign statement said.
Vice President Kamala Harrisâ presidential campaign has not yet released August fundraising figures.
âWith Republicans united and a growing number of Independents and disaffected Democrats crossing partisan lines, the TrumpâVance campaign has momentum for the final stretch of the race,â senior Trump campaign adviser Brian Hughes said in the fundraising announcement. âThese fundraising numbers from August are a reflection of that movement.â
After President Joe Biden stepped down from the top of the ticket and endorsed Harris on July 21, the vice presidentâs campaign announced it had raised $204.5 million in July alone.
Following the Democratic National Convention on Aug. 25, Harrisâs campaign said that in the five weeks since she took over Bidenâs spot as the Democratic Partyâs presidential nominee, she had raised $540 million.
Earlier this week, the Democratic National Committee said it was partnering with the HarrisâWalz campaign to invest nearly $25 million âin races up and down the ballot ahead of November,â a figure the campaign said was the largest ever in a presidential cycle.
This includes $10 million each to committees seeking to elect Democrats to the House and Senate, $2.5 million to the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, and $1 million each to the Democratic Attorneys General Association and the Democratic Governors Association.
In July, Trumpâs campaign and its related affiliates said they had raised $138.7 million, reporting $327 million on hand at the start of August.
That figure exceeds the $264 million that the Democratic National Committee reported raising during the same period when Biden was still the presumptive nominee.
Several August fundraising figures from committees supporting candidates have yet to be released. The deadline for campaigns, parties, and political action committees to report their August fundraising totals is Sept. 20.
