Trump Discusses Strait of Hormuz Options With Starmer

U.S. President ‌Donald Trump spoke to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on April 9 about the need to come up with a “viable plan” to get the Strait of Hormuz operating normally, Downing Street said on April 10.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most strategically vital maritime chokepoints, with about 20 percent of the world’s seaborne ​crude oil ​and liquefied ⁠natural gas flows passing through it.
