WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump departed Washington on Tuesday afternoon for China, where he will meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping for a high-stakes summit.
Trump’s May 13–15 trip marks the first U.S. presidential visit to China since his 2017 state visit during his first term.
