WASHINGTONâPresident Donald Trump welcomed Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the White House on Sept. 25 to discuss a Boeing deal and bilateral issues, including the long-standing dispute over Turkeyâs purchase of a Russian air defense system.
âWe do a lot of trade with Turkey, and weâre going to continue,â Trump said in the Oval Office at the beginning of his bilateral meeting with Erdogan. âThey build great productsâreally fantastic manufacturers.â
