President Donald Trump said Monday that he would honor former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which is the nationâs highest civilian honor.
Trump announced the award in a Truth Social post, calling Giuliani âthe greatest mayor in the history of New York Cityâ and âan equally great American Patriot.â
