US Ends Temporary Protected Status for Nationals of Burma

The United States will terminate the temporary protected status for Burma (also known as Myanmar), citing progress made in governance and stability, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced Monday.

The change gives about 3,000 Burmese nationals until Jan. 26, 2026, to return.
