A US delegation led by Vice President JD Vance arrived in Pakistan on Saturday for talks with Iranian officials aimed at shoring up a shaky ceasefire and paving the way for a permanent end to the fighting.
The United States and Iran began direct, in-person negotiations on Saturday in Pakistan, days after a fragile, two-week ceasefire was announced, as the war—now in its seventh week—has killed thousands and rattled global markets.
A senior White House official confirmed to The Epoch Times in an emailed statement that, at around 11 a.m. ET on April 11, delegates from the United States, Pakistan, and Iran were holding a trilateral face-to-face meeting.
