This is second time aa threatening letter with white powder has been sent to the home of former President Donald Trump’s eldest son.
Donald Trump Jr.’s home in Jupiter, Florida, was surrounded by fire trucks and men in hazmat suits on Feb. 26 after the former president’s son received a letter containing death threats and an unidentified white powder inside the envelope.
The suspicious white powder flew out of the envelope after Mr. Trump Jr. opened it in his home office, his spokesperson Andrew Surabian told The Epoch Times. Mr. Trump Jr. is the eldest son of former President Donald Trump.
Mr. Surabian shared a link to a photo of the letter after it was posted to X by Mike Cernovich.
The letter contained hateful comments about the former president, his wife, and his other children and included a reference to the family’s plane “[diving] into the Atlantic Ocean.”
Initial test results on the white substance were “inconclusive,” Mr. Surabian told The Epoch Times, adding that officials at the scene “did not believe it was anything deadly.”
The Epoch Times reached out to the Jupiter Police Department but did not receive a response prior to publication.
When The Epoch Times contacted the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue for comment, a spokesperson referred all questions to the Secret Service.
A spokesperson from the Secret Service told The Epoch Times to contact the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), which is now handling the case.
The Epoch Times reached out to the FBI but did not receive a response prior to publication.
This is the second time that a suspicious envelope containing a white powder has been sent to Mr. Trump Jr.’s home.
The first time, Feb. 12, 2018, it was sent to his apartment in Manhattan, where his then-wife, Vanessa, reported nausea and coughing before she and two others were hospitalized. All appeared to be fine after further examination.
Mr. Frisiello had reportedly also sent powder-filled envelopes to actor Antonio Sabato Jr., a U.S. senator from Michigan, and a Stanford professor, among others.
“You are an awful, awful person. I am surprised that your father lets you speak on TV. You [are] the family idiot. Eric looks smart,” Mr. Frisiello said in his letter to Mr. Trump Jr.
His younger brother, Eric Trump, also received an envelope with hate messages and a white powder in March 2016.
The author of that letter threatened to hurt President Trump’s children if he didn’t withdraw from the 2016 election, according to media reports at the time.
