IN OKLAHOMA’S FIRST CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT

TULSA, OK — Tulsan, Mark David Garcia Sanders, has filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to run for the U.S. House of Representatives in Oklahoma’s First District. Sanders seeks to break the monopoly that the Establishment has held over Oklahoma’s First District for decades. His faith-based campaign is calling on Oklahomans’ “better spirits” to transcend partisan politics and focus on policies that honor Heartland values and elevate the economic interests of ordinary Americans.
Mark is a home-grown “Okie” – a 4th generation Tulsan on both sides of his family. His mixed racial heritage reflects the grand historical diversity of Oklahoma and Indian Territory. As the grandson of miners, construction laborers, and migrant farm workers, he seeks to elevate and reward the contributions of all Oklahomans. As a husband, father and grandfather, he recognizes the centrality of family in all that we look to achieve as a society. And in all things, he strives to be a faithful disciple of Jesus.
For too long now Oklahomans have been sucked into partisan tribalism, often voting more for party than person. In doing so we’ve been complicit in handing the reins of our economy and culture over to a “uni-party” elite of Republicans and Democrats whose allegiances are ultimately to global capital rather than American industry and community. Mark refuses to perpetuate that divisive and self-destructive approach, and looks to be an antidote to Kevin Hern’s globalist collusion and allegiance to the Washington Establishment.
Mark is a partner in one of Oklahoma’s leading law firms. His diverse 40-years of experience as an attorney, law professor and independent political activist, give him the tools and credibility to run successfully as an Independent in 2024. He will be working hard to earn votes from all of Green Country’s diverse communities, and intends to beat Kevin Hern by presenting a coherent, populist message that creatively bridges ideological divides, focuses on a revival of our economy and culture, and taps into Oklahomans’ deep faith and sense of fairness.
