Vice President Kamala Harris’s personal physician released her medical report on Saturday.
Simmons noted in his letter, with permission from Harris, that she has seasonal allergies and urticaria, a skin condition commonly known as hives which shows up as raised, itchy red bumps on the skin.
According to Simmons she has been managing her allergies with over-the-counter allergy medication and for the past three years has been on allergy immune therapy. According to Simmons the symptoms have since reduced “dramatically” to the point that she no longer needs regular medication.
The vice president has a family history of colon cancer on her mother’s side, according to the letter.
“She has no personal history of diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, cardiac disease, pulmonary disease, neurological disorders, cancer, or osteoporosis,” Simmons wrote.
According to Simmons, Harris has only had surgery once, at age three.
“She is taking vitamin D3 supplementation for skeletal health,” Simmons wrote.
Trump Letter
Dr. Ronny Jackson, former physician to President Donald Trump, in July released a memorandum on Trump’s health after an assassination attempt on his life.
The letter noted that the bullet came “less than a quarter of an inch from entering his head, and struck the top of his ear.”
Jackson noted that the bullet produced a “2 cm wide wound that extended down to the cartilaginous surface of the ear.”
Trump has noted since that the wound has healed well.
“I am pleased to report that President Trump’s overall health is excellent. His physical exams were well within the normal range and his cognitive exams were exceptional,” said Aronwald.
The doctor reported that Trump’s cardiovascular tests were all normal, and cancer screening tests returned all negative. and that he has reduced his weight through “improved diet” and daily physical activity even as he campaigns.
“It is my opinion that President Trump is currently in excellent health, and with his continued interest in preventative health monitoring and maintenance, he will continue to enjoy a healthy active lifestyle for years to come,” Aronwald said.
With 81-year-old Biden dropping out of the race, 78-year-old Trump became the oldest presidential nominee in U.S. history, and he would be the oldest president inaugurated if he wins a second term. He would be 82 when he leaves office.
