Election lawyers and journalists discussed security and integrity for the 2022 midterms. Bob Bauer and Benjamin Ginsberg were working together to establish the Election Official Legal Defense Network to push back on election disinformation and ensure security for election officials in the upcoming elections. The two co-chaired former President Obama’s Presidential Commission on Election Administration in 2013. The men discussed their efforts to protect election officials and spoke about their concerns for the midterms and the future of democracy. Joining them were Linda So and Pam Fessler, two journalists who have reported on elections and election security. This was the first panel in an event hosted by the Center for Election Innovation and Research. close
