Three years into the Biden Administration, the situation at the southwest border has reached alarming levels, and the US House or Reps, under Speaker Johnson, with a Republican majority, look absolutely like a clown show, who are unable to lift a finger to stop anything dire that is unfolding.
On the Hill the government is facing a shutdown over massive budget issues- none of which adequately address the most dangerous crimes at the US Border. There is a push to let the government shut down if the civil servants there can not figure out how to address the problems at the border.
Many people remember how President Donald J. Trump handled such a situation as the government faced a shutdown- he said let it shut down- until the border is fixed:
But without President Trump around, many Republicans are lost about how to serve the American people.
So now they are getting exposed for their laziness and lack of urgency over the invasion of the US, as recent government reports show.
Here is the smackdown:
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported a record-breaking 302,000 illegal alien encounters in December 2023, surpassing the previous high of 269,735 in September 2023. The report criticizes the administration’s open-border policies, highlighting the release of over 3.3 million illegal aliens into the U.S. since January 20, 2021.
The Biden administration’s advocacy for an invasion raises concerns about the increasing number of criminal aliens in communities, emphasizing the urgent need for a focused law enforcement presence at the border- as well as legislative reforms such as the Secure the Border Act of 2023.
The Committee on the Judiciary and its Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement continue robust oversight to address the escalating immigration crisis, but so much more is needed from the Republicans.

New Report Unveils Nonpublic Data Detailing Severity of the Biden Border Crisis and Failures to Enforce Interior Immigration Policies

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the House Judiciary Committee and its Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement released an interim staff report titled, “New Data Reveal Worsening Magnitude of The Biden Border Crisis and Lack of Interior Immigration Enforcement.” This report includes new, nonpublic data and offers an updated assessment of the failures of President Biden’s open-borders policies. It also highlights the Administration’s actions in dismantling interior immigration enforcement, which enables illegal aliens to stay in the United States indefinitely.
Both public and nonpublic information provided to the Committee reveals the worsening state of the southwest border, including:
- Of the nearly 6 million illegal alien encounters from January 20, 2021, through September 30, 2023, at least 3,095,577 illegal aliens had no confirmed departure from the United States as of September 30, 2023.
- There are at least 617,607 aliens on Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) non-detained docket who have criminal convictions or pending criminal charges, meaning more than half a million criminal aliens are on the streets and free to reoffend in U.S. communities.
- As of December 10, 2023, there were 1,323,264 illegal aliens with final orders of removal who remained in the United States.
- The Department of Homeland Security placed only 6.8 percent of illegal aliens encountered at the southwest border into proceedings to even be screened for asylum eligibility.
- Of the at least 3.3 million illegal aliens released into the United States since January 20, 2021, the Biden Administration failed to remove, through immigration court removal proceedings, roughly 99.7 percent of those illegal aliens.
- The Biden Administration has removed only one illegal alien for every 26 illegal aliens it has allowed to enter the United States.
- As of August 31, 2023, DHS had removed only 2 percent of illegal aliens who failed to appear at their immigration court hearings after successfully establishing a fear of persecution at the border. Ninety-eight percent of those illegal aliens remained in the United States at the end of August 2023.
