Feeley recounted a chilling encounter from his hunting tree stand, where he observed two men of Mexican descent with backpacks and walking sticks. Despite the shock of the moment, Feeley’s swift action in contacting Border Patrol highlights the proactive role of local communities in addressing the issue. The surge in northern border crossings can be attributed to several factors.
