The Exciting and Normal World of Steve Bannon’s Political Dissent

In a society where dissent faces increasing censorship and persecution, modern-day political dissidents emerge as symbols of hope for many Americans, inspiring them to confront the injustices they witness. These brazen acts pose a challenge for the elite.

Steve Bannon, a leading hero dissident, leads a movement of dissent when he says stuff like this:

“Trump won Trump won. You know how we know now because the New York Times and MSNBC and the Washington Post, understand we’re about to out them.

If Biden actually won he would be a revered hero to them. If Kamala Harris had really been the wingman, she’d be a revered hero.

The New York Times throws Biden under the bus daily and backs them up over him. That shows you they know he’s an illegitimate regime. Head. He’s a usurper and 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.”

And he calls Biden crime family “trash” like he did recently at CPAC, and made the left go crazy.

His fans are thinking- that is good stuff, Bannon.. like a pirate on the high seas!

Think about that- there is a reason why people love the fictional Jack Sparrow, a pirate with a code of honor, as their champion so much for saying things like- “The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem. Do you understand?”

Real people have represented the seeded need for justice, too- just like this:

“The bravest are surely those who have the clearest vision of what is before them, glory and danger alike, and yet notwithstanding, go out to meet it,” wrote Greek historian Thucydides in his work “History of the Peloponnesian War.” (bookmark that)

Recently, a modern-day political dissident hero, Steve Bannon delivered a historic speech rallying support for Donald Trump and the MAGA movement, affirming Trump’s legitimacy as president and denouncing the Biden administration’s perceived illegitimacy. Bannon vowed to rectify the alleged injustices of the 2020 election and restore what he considers authentic leadership to the nation.

Calling for unity against common adversaries- called the administrative state- Bannon promised a triumphant return to power for MAGA, in front of an enthusiastic crowd at CPAC.

Such primary occurrences of rebellion against the government are not unusual when considering the course of human history.

Bannon’s rebellion should be expected, especially considering the monumental injustices under President Joe Biden’s administration, particularly in the United States- the land of the free.

So it’s unsurprising that political dissidents like Bannon, the host of the War Room program, would emerge as prominent figures resonating with discontented Americans.

In fact, Steve Bannon in a leadership role to support President Donald J. Trump should have been expected, and his pointed recent remarks about an out-of-control administrative state- are as normal as anything else that has unfolded in world history when people have faced Tyranny and loss of personal freedoms.

The history of political dissidents is as old as the concept of governance itself. Throughout history, individuals and groups have challenged authority, questioned oppressive regimes, and advocated for change.

In fact, it is so normal that people push back against usurpations and loss of civil liberties that it has become an inborn part of the human spirit, a timeless assertion of the basic desire for freedom and justice.

Even in ancient civilizations, there were dissenting voices. In ancient Greece, philosophers like Socrates questioned the state’s authority and faced persecution for their beliefs. Similarly, in ancient Rome, figures like Cicero spoke out against tyranny and corruption.

The history of political dissent often intertwines with religious dissent. During the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century, figures like Martin Luther and John Calvin challenged the authority of the Catholic Church and advocated for religious reform, often facing persecution as a result.

The Enlightenment period saw the rise of thinkers such as Voltaire, Rousseau, and Montesquieu, who critiqued absolute monarchy and advocated for principles such as liberty, equality, and democracy. Their writings laid the groundwork for future movements for political change.

The 18th and 19th centuries witnessed numerous revolutionary movements fueled by dissent against oppressive regimes. The American Revolution, the French Revolution, and, later, the Russian Revolution were all driven by dissatisfaction with existing political structures and calls for fundamental change.

SO… here we are, watching a modern-day political dissident movement called MAGA, and the people who are left acting shocked about it are often those who have either turned a blind eye to the erosion of democratic principles or benefited from the status quo, oblivious to the simmering discontent brewing beneath the surface of society.

Bannon, in his recent speech at CPAC, compared Trump, a dissident figure himself, to “Cincanatuis at the plow”.

The phrase “Cincinnatus at the plow” refers to the story of Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus, a Roman statesman and farmer who lived in the 5th century BCE. According to historical accounts, Cincinnatus was known for his integrity, humility, and dedication to the Roman Republic.

The most famous episode involving Cincinnatus occurred when Rome faced a military crisis. In 458 BCE, Rome was threatened by invasion from neighboring tribes, and the Senate appointed Cincinnatus as dictator, a temporary position with absolute authority, to lead the Roman army and defend the city.

Cincinnatus quickly assembled an army, defeated the invading forces, and secured Rome’s safety within a matter of weeks. However, rather than clinging to power, as many dictators of the time did, Cincinnatus voluntarily relinquished his position after completing his duty. He returned to his farm and resumed his life as a humble farmer, demonstrating his commitment to public service and his lack of desire for personal gain or glory.

The phrase “Cincinnatus at the plow” has since become a symbol of selfless leadership and civic duty. It is often used to illustrate the ideal of a leader who puts the needs of the community above their own ambitions and willingly returns to a life of ordinary citizenship after fulfilling their responsibilities.

One notable supporter of Cincinnatus was the Roman Senate, which appointed him as dictator in times of crisis due to their trust in his ability to lead effectively and his willingness to serve the state.

Bannon is so right about Trump. Think of Bannon as the Roman Senate that is named MAGA.

“They call you racist. They call you xenophobe. They call your nativist. Nothing could be farther from the truth because they can’t win the intellectual argument what they have to do to try to smear you and you don’t care because you know that’s not true.

And that is what Trump’s program is. That’s his biggest crime. You know, his biggest you know, you know, otherwise seem to prison for 700 years. You know why they want to bankrupt him take all his money away $500 million when buying right now.

Take him off the ballot defamation charges every day all over the place from Atlanta to DC.

You heard Peter Navarro, lay it all out. Notice crime isn’t that that things are charging him with? That’s all crap and you know, it’s crap and they know it’s crap.

His crime. He said he put you in the room in DC in the Imperial capitol, not in the room, not in the deal. He put the American working man and woman in the room at the head of the table and they hate him for it. They think he’s a traitor to the ruling class in this country,” Bannon said from CPAC.

And the crowd loved it.

The widespread embrace of the MAGA movement in response to the actions of the Biden administration should have been a predictable reaction to the painful changes inflicted upon the cherished American Republic.

Why would any true American misunderstand Bannon’s passion?

Bannon’s story is one of resilience, courage, and the enduring power of the human spirit in the face of brutal oppression- that is as historic, normal, and authentic as anything about the founding of this unique form of government and the principles our people’s government is built on.

The only people afraid of Bannon are Tyrannts, let’s be honest.
